Rain of Letters
Identifying identical and different letters
Write a name on the board. Choose a Miniland letter and say whether this name contains a letter which is the same as the one you have chosen. Look for letters which are different.
The sheet (printed out beforehand) shows the steps to be taken to trace certain Miniland consonants (M, P, S, T, C and L) and, thus, learn the direction in which they are written. Hand out the Miniland letters and trace them in accordance with the steps on the sheet. This activity is ideal for developing the fine motor skills and recognition of the outline of the letters.
When finished, play the digital game to reinforce content. The game consists of choosing the letters which are the same as those in the model in question. The final objective is to capture 9 identical letters.
